Richard A. Perry, 69, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island since 2011, formerly of East Providence, RI, passed away on October 12, 2023, at the Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI following a brief illness.
Born in Providence, RI on May 5, 1954, he was a son of the late Joseph Perry and the late Mary M. (Perry) White and was the stepson of the late Earl I. White.
Mr. Perry worked for many years in retail management for Gentleman's Warehouse and later, Family Dollar.
An ardent animal lover, he had a special affection for his feline friends. Working out with friends at Planet Fitness daily, traveling with his good friend, Rick, and days at the beach were among his favorite pastimes. What pleased him most was time spent with family, and making memories, especially during the holidays.
He was the beloved uncle of Doreen Braz and her husband, Frank Perrotta, of Riverside, RI and Colleen Braz of Daytona, Florida; great uncle of Bethany and Brittany Cabral and three great great nieces and one great great nephew and was the brother-in-law of Hal "Buck" M. Foster of East Providence. RI. He also leaves many dear friends.
Richard was the brother of the late Linda Rose who died recently and the late Joanne Foster who died in 2016 and the late Joseph S. Perry who died in 1972.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm at the conclusion of the memorial visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Richard's name and honor may be made to the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
