Richard William Paiva

May 9, 1988 — November 6, 2017

After a long struggle with addiction, Richard William Paiva passed suddenly on November 6th, 2017 at the age of 29. Richie was a Security officer, laborer, landscaper and PCA for his sister Marcy who he cared for unconditionally. He will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor and contagious laugh. He was often surrounded by his friends and family. He loved dogs, the outdoors, playing baseball, basketball, fishing and the beach. He enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen and caring for animals.He leaves behind his mother Kimberly Roberts of North Attleboro, his father Richard M. Paiva of Revere, his sister Marcy Paiva of North Attleboro, his sister Katherine Paiva of South Boston, his nephew Jack O'Shaughnessy of North Attleboro, his maternal grandmother Claire Braye of Brockton, his late grandfather William R. Braye, his paternal grandmother Anne Paiva-Thibeault, his late grandfather Richard L. Paiva and his step grandfather Edward Thibeault of Brockton as well aunts, uncles, cousins, his pups and many close friends.Please join us to celebrate Richie's life at the North Attleboro Elks Club 52, S. Bulfinch St., on Wednesday, November 22nd between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Town of North Attleboro Attn: Animal Shelter 43 South Washington St. North Attleboro, MA 02760 in Richie's name.
