Richard "Dick" Norman Quintin, 87, of Plainville, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Country Gardens Nursing Home in Swansea, MA. He was the beloved husband of Judith A. (MacVicar) Quintin.Born on February 21, 1931 in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Norman and Edith Eunice Grace (Swanson) Quintin.A graduate of Attleboro High School, he then continued his education in business studies. Dick proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Coast Guard. He worked for forty-five years as a Systems Service Administrator for the Foxboro Company, having travelled on assignment to both Greenland and McMurdo Sound in the Antarctic, before his retirement in 1999. A resident of Plainville since1966, he attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in Attleboro for many years. He was an avid golfer, having once scored a double eagle and a hole-in-one. Dick enjoyed walking; fishing; traveling the world; and spending time on Cape Cod, especially in Truro every year with Judith. He was mechanically minded and had a love of all animals. In addition to his wife, Judith, he leaves his dear sister, Sandra Lutz and her husband, Donald Lutz, of Pawtucket, RI; his niece, Karen Lutz-Smith; his nephews, Peter Lutz and Donald Lutz; and many dear friends.A Visitation with Veteran's Honors was held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, North Attleboro, MA.Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
