Richard Kelley, 72, of Attleboro, MA, formerly of North Attleboro, MA, passed away on October 30, 2022, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Michele Yvonne (Sedor) Kelley who died on October 21, 2015.Born in Somerville, MA on July 23, 1950, he was a son of the late Francis Kelley and the late Rita (Coughlin) Kelley. He attended and graduated from DuVall High School in Maryland and earned an associate's degree from the University of Massachusetts - Boston.He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served from July 17, 1971 until his honorable discharge on July 16, 1974.Mr. Kelley spent his career working for the United States Postal Service and worked his way through the ranks to become a postal supervisor prior to his retirement.He resided in the City of Attleboro since 2020, having previously resided in North Attleboro from 1989 - 2020 and was a former resident of South Weymouth, MA.Among Richard's favorite pastimes were taking pride and care of his meticulous yard, bass fishing, and was an ardent fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.He will be lovingly remembered for his sense of humor and being the funniest guy in the room. Richard was a role model for his family as he demonstrated a strong work ethic, positive attitude and strong values.Left to mourn his loss are his children: Brianne M. Kelley and her husband, Rob Delmont, of Puyallup, WA and Ryan F. Kelley and his wife, Stacey L. (Philibert) Kelley of Attleboro, MA; two grandchildren: Carter Kelley and Callan Kelley both of Attleboro, MA and many extended family members. He was the brother of the late Francis Kelley.All services will be conducted privately.Burial will be private.Please omit flowers.
