Richard E. Hurd, 52, of Plainville, MA passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, October 23, 2021, after being admitted to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Lisa Marie (Belhumeur) Hurd to whom he was married on April 3, 1999.
Born in Norwood, MA on November 13, 1968, he was a son of Linda M. (Famiglietti) Hurd of Plainville, MA, and the late Roy E. Hurd. He remained a lifelong Plainville resident and was a 1987 graduate of King Philip Regional High School. He received a certificate of completion from the New England Tractor Trailer School.
He was lastly employed by the Seasonal Specialty Stores in Foxboro, MA and previously was a truck driver for Reynolds & Markham in Attleboro, MA.
Richard enjoyed watching television, especially game shows, with his wife and mother; WWE wrestling, NFL football, and as an avid baseball player in younger years, was a fan of the Boston Red Sox.
He treasured the times cuddled up with his two basset hounds, Roscoe and Willie; family camping trips to New Hampshire and bird watching.
In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves a daughter: Amanda Faverman and her companion, Jason Gentilli, of North Smithfield, RI; sister: Ann M. Hurd; his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Joanne and Richard Belhumeur; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Michele and Jim Horgan; Cherie and Matt Gonyea; three grandchildren: Hailey Larson, Owen Gentilli and Evelynn Gentilli; two nephews: Brendan Hurd and Shawn Horgan; a brother-in-law: Marc Cardoza and three nieces: Jakie Horgan, Anjolena Gonyea, and Katelyn Gonyea and many extended family members and friends.
