Richard A. Hayes

Richard "Snook" A. Hayes, 79, of Attleboro, MA passed away at his residence on December 8, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Marie Suzanne (Boutin) Hayes.
Born in Attleboro, MA on June 10, 1943, he was a son of the late Thomas Hayes and the late Josephine Hayes. He was raised and educated in his native community of Attleboro and later took numerous trade and professional courses.
He proudly served in the United States Navy.
Mr. Hayes was employed by the Town of Easton as the head of building operations and had previously held that position with the Town of Randolph.
He was a communicant of the former Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro.
Civic minded, "Snook" was a longtime member of the Attleboro B.P.O.E. and the Ezekiel Bates Lodge of the Masonic Order also in Attleboro.
He will be lovingly remembered for being a "family man" and his love for music and abilities on the piano and the guitar. "Snook" was an ardent reader.
In addition to his loving wife, he leaves his daughter: Susan Marie (Hayes) Yidiaris and her husband, Michael Yidiaris, of Attleboro, MA; a son: Thomas Raymond Hayes and his wife. Tammy (Yidiaris) Hayes of Attleboro, MA ; four grandchildren: Christopher Yidiaris, Nicholas Yidiaris, Emily Hayes and Zelda Hayes; two great grandchildren: Fiona Yidiaris and Olivia Yidiaris; a brother: Norman Hayes in Texas and several extended family members and friends. He was the brother of the late Marlene White and Elizabeth Edwards.
All services will be conducted privately.
