Richard J. Gould, 65, of North Attleboro, MA., passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (O'Connor) Gould. They were happily married for 45 years.
Born in Meriden, Connecticut; he was the son of the late Billie and Boda (Engle) Gould.
Richard was a retired Army veteran. He enjoyed photography, woodworking, gardening, traveling, and archery. He was an avid reader and history buff. One of Richard's greatest joys was sharing these hobbies with his grandchildren.
Besides his beloved wife, Richard is survived by his loving sons; Jeremy Gould and his wife Brittany of North Attleboro, MA, and Joshua Gould and his wife Courtney of Byfield, MA. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren; Jacob Gould, Sunny Gould, and Ace Gould; a brother, John Ardry and his wife Patricia; sisters, Katherine Messier and her husband Peter, Tammy Tarball and her husband Greg, and Kimberly Rossini and her husband David; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 p.m. Following services, Military Honors will be rendered. Burial will be private.
