Richard Alfred Fournier

Richard "Dick" Alfred Fournier, 82, of Dean Street, Attleboro, died on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro. He was the husband of Louise S. (Mandell) Fournier to whom he was married on May 1, 1954. Born in Attleboro, MA on August 27, 1932, he was a son of the late Alfred and Arline (LaPorte) Fournier. Raised and educated in Attleboro, Mr. Fournier was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1951. He was a graduate of Bryant College and a lifelong resident of the City of Attleboro. Mr. Fournier was a former member of the Navy Reserves. He was a self-employed accountant for many years, and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Attleboro. In addition to his wife, he leaves a sister, Avis (Fournier) Lovejoy of New York; two nephews, Wyatt and Steven, and a niece, Ronda. He also leaves a "Fresh Air Child" in New York, Nicholas Pappas, as well as two beloved cats, "Tiney" and "Cherie", and many dear friends. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 10:00 AM in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro with the Rev. Kelly K. Thibeault, Pastor of the First Congregational "Oldtown" Church, North Attleboro, officiating.
