Richard J. Fontaine, 57, of Blackstone, MA, passed away passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI.
Born on June 5, 1962 in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Roland Fontaine and the late Irene (Marcil) Fontaine.
A resident of Blackstone for many years, he previously lived in Woonsocket. Richard most recently worked for Imperial Cars in Mendon, MA.
He enjoyed both freshwater and saltwater fishing and quahogging, and held a special place in his heart for his beloved companion: his faithful dog, "Lucy".
Richard was the dear brother of Robert Fontaine of Woonsocket, RI; Roger Fontaine of North Smithfield, RI; Roland Fontaine of Cumberland, RI; and the late Ronald Fontaine. He leaves several nieces and nephews.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
A private Memorial Service will be held for Richard at a later date.
