Reginald "Reggie" Malcolm Michaud, 91, of Rumford, RI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Berkshire Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of Lula Joyce (Cooley) Michaud, whom he married on December 10, 1947.
Born on September 2, 1930, in Brighton, MA, he was the son of the late Treffle Michaud and the late Aurora (Fournier) Michaud.
Reggie worked for thirty-six years in shipping and receiving for Berg Brothers in Attleboro Falls, MA, before retiring in 1995. A resident of Rumford for the past five years, he previously lived in Lewiston, ME.
A man of strong faith, for many years he attended Church of the Nazarene in East Providence, RI, and avidly read the Bible almost every day. He enjoyed trips to Maine, camping, playing pool, hunting, and time spent at the gun range. More than anything, Reggie cherished simply being with his family.
In addition to his wife, Lula, he leaves his loving children: Cheryl A. Emerson of Wrentham, MA; Leo D. Michaud and his wife, Linda, of Fort Myers, FL; Linda M. Turcotte and her husband, Dennis, of Cocoa Beach, FL; Bev-Lee Johnson and her husband, Eric, of Norton, MA. He was the beloved father of the late Elwin Butch Michaud and his wife, Susannah K. Michaud, of North Attleboro, MA. Reggie is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Rita Hannon of Randolph, ME; Irene Doble of Maine; and the late Sr. Mary Claire Cote, the late Claudia Wallace, the late Leo Michaud, the late Roland Cote, the late Rosemarie Gage, and the late Lornia Wood. Reggie leaves his extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Reggie at a later date and time to be announced on Facebook.
Burial will be in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro.
In lieu of flowers, cards of sympathy may be placed in a box at the Celebration of Life or may be sent to Lula's residence.
