Regina Ann (Spencer) Keating, 86, of Jackson Street, Attleboro Falls, died on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Eugene Joseph Keating, Sr. to whom she was married on February 3, 1944 and who died on November 17, 1969. Born in Bangor, Maine on July 17, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (DeLuca) Spencer. She was raised and educated in Maine where she was a 1942 graduate of Brewer High School. She was a dedicated and devoted homemaker to her family. A resident of Attleboro Falls for the past 32 years, Mrs. Keating formerly resided on Mount Hope Street in North Attleboro. She was a woman of strong religious convictions and beliefs. Her favorite pastimes were those creating lifelong memories with her beloved family. She will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful cook and baker and for her love for the Boston Celtics. She leaves four children: Eugene J. Keating, Jr. and his wife, Joyce Keating, of Scottsdale, Arizona; Mary Margaret Keating with whom she resided in Attleboro Falls; Ann H. McGinnes and her husband, David McGinnes, of Attleboro and Regina P. Evans of North Attleboro; four grandchildren: James F. Keating of Scottsdale, Arizona; Thomas E. Keating of Boston; Elizabeth A. McGinnes of Attleboro and Zachary Dylan Evans of North Attleboro and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was the mother of the late Paul E. Keating. She was the maternal grandmother of the late Bryan Patrick McGinnes who died in 1993 and Christopher James McGinnes who died in 2007. She was the sister of the late Frank "Skip" Spencer, Jennifer Randall and Mary Murphy. Public visitation has been respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 9:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street - Route 152, Attleboro with the Rev. Richard Roy, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Towne Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
