Raymond "Ray" Robert Pierce, 76, of Attleboro Falls, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of Deborah "Debbie" Lee (Bottalico) Pierce, to whom he was married on August 7, 1976.
Born on March 20, 1942 in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of the late Lowell R. and Anita G. (Paré) Pierce.
Ray was a graduate of Saint Raphael Academy in Pawtucket, and honorably served our country in the United States Air Force. He was the proud owner and operator of Galligan and Pierce in Smithfield, RI, and worked for many years as an Electrical Manufacturing Representative, before retiring.
He was a resident of Attleboro Falls for the past forty-one years, where he enjoyed spending time at his home and in his yard. He liked playing word search puzzles, Solitaire, computer games, and watching and feeding birds at his many bird feeders. Ray loved spending time at his family's cottage on Roy Carpenter's beach in Matunuck, RI, but more than anything, he loved being with his family.
In addition to his wife, Debbie, he leaves his loving children: Robert Randall Pierce and his wife Susan (McKenna) Pierce, of Taunton, MA; and Randall Ronald Pierce and his companion, Debra Karpicz, of Berkley, MA. He was the adoring grandfather of Ryan Pierce, Matthew Pierce, Ross Pierce, Brooke Pierce, and Brenna Pierce.
