Raymond Richard Myers, 78, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 1, 2018 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. Born on May 17, 1939 in Medford, MA, he was the son of the late Henry James Myers, Sr., and the late Alice Elizabeth (Davis) Myers.A resident of Attleboro for many years, he previously lived in Somerville, MA, and worked for more than twenty-five years for the Ritz Carlton Hotel as an Elevator Operator.Raymond loved people, and especially loved talking with them - in person, on his scanner, or listening to his police radio. He enjoyed watching old movies, Elvis Presley, TV Guide, and collecting records.He was the brother of Kathleen A. Burke and her husband, William E. Burke, of Charlestown, MA; the brother-in-law of Elizabeth (Pratt) Myers, of Arizona and her late husband, Philip L. Meyers; the late Henry James Myers, Jr.; the late Helen Mangan; the late Paula Huey; and the late Barbara T. Shea. He leaves his beloved god-children: Colleen M. Cadger of Charlestown, MA; and Donna Lewis of Pennsylvania, as well as three generations of nephews and nieces and many dear friends Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Raymond by gathering for a Memorial Visitation on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.Burial will be at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford, MA, at which time he will be laid to rest alongside his late parents.
