Raymond Charles LaRose, 86, of Attleboro, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Golden Living Center - Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Doris Claire (Normand) LaRose.Born on June 15, 1930 in Glade Spring, VA, he was the son of the late John LaRose and the late Viola (Smith) LaRose.Raymond proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Army and earned his Associate's Degree as an Electronic Technician. He worked for many years as an Engineer for Foxboro Company, until his retirement.Before living at Golden Living Center with his wife, he had since 1980 resided in Plainville, MA, and was a former member of St. Mary's Church in Foxboro, MA. A skilled woodworker, he took great pride in the fine furniture and clocks he crafted, as well as the renovations to his homes, and his collection of Thunderbird automobiles. He could often be found simply poking around the house or working on his cars. Above all, Raymond valued time spent with his family he so loved.In addition to his wife, Doris, he is survived by his cherished children: Carol Anne (LaRose) Megna and her husband, Anthony A. Megna, of North Attleboro, MA; William "Bill" R. LaRose and his wife, Maria F. LaRose, of Woonsocket, RI; Cathleen M. LaRose of Sunapee, NH; and Stephen C. LaRose and his wife, Roxane I. LaRose, of North Attleboro, MA. He was the adoring grandfather of Vanessa, Melissa, Nathan, Stephen, and Charles; and the treasured great-grandfather of Gianna, Hero, Lyla, and Aubrey. He was the brother of Howard LaRose and his wife, Jacqueline LaRose of Naples, FL, and leaves several nieces and nephews.Raymond was the brother of the late Cecil "Sonny" K. LaRose and the late John "Jack" LaRose.Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Visitation with Veteran's Honors on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, ¾ mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.Children's room is available during visitation.Those in need of a ride to visitation may simply call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such complimentary transportation.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service immediately following visitation on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.Burial with Military Honors will follow the funeral service in St. Mary's Cemetery, Towne Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
