Raymond Joseph Guimond

Raymond Joseph Guimond, 60, of May Street, North Attleboro, died unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, December 23, 2012. He was the husband of Lynda T. (Geraghty) Guimond to whom he was married on March 11, 1983. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on March 18, 1952, Mr. Guimond was the son of the late Harvey and Theresa (Fournier) Guimond. He was a lifelong resident of North Attleboro and had attended Sacred Heart School and was a 1971 graduate of North Attleboro High School. Mr. Guimond was employed as a section leader for the former Foxboro Company, now Invenys, for more than 40 years until his illness in July 2012. He attended Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, North Attleboro. Mr. Guimond was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. An ardent motorcyclist, he treasured the time spent on his Harley Davison bike and was a past member of the Blackstone Valley H.O.G. He was a fanatic about caring for his home, pool and yard and was the envy of many. His most treasured times were those spent in the company of family and friends creating lifelong memories to cherish. Mr. Guimond loved music and concerts, especially Jimmy Buffet's annual concert with his special "Buffet friends". Family cookouts and the annual Christmas open house were among his favorite events of the year. He also enjoyed the weekly Sunday breakfasts with family and friends. In addition to his wife of 29 years, he leaves a son: Timothy Raymond Guimond and his girlfriend, Nikki Zambruski, both of North Attleboro; a grandson: Braydon Guimond of North Attleboro; his siblings: Ernest Guimond and his wife, Sheila; Paul Guimond and his wife, Kathryn; David Guimond and his wife, Marge all of North Attleboro and Gloria Guimond and her boyfriend, William, of Norton; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and dear friends. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Children's room available during visitation and while lining up the funeral cortege prior to the funeral Mass. Those in need of transportation to visitation may simply call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such gratis local transportation. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 8:45 AM from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 58 Church Street, North Attleboro with the Rev. David A. Costa, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be private. Following church services, family and friends will be invited to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced. Please do not send flowers.
