Ramona (Broas) White, 73, of Attleboro, MA, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of Walter A. White, to whom she was married on April 4, 1963.Born on January 14, 1945 in Poughkeepsie, NY where she was raised and educated, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Earle Broas and the late Freda (Haver) Broas.A magna cum laude graduate of Framingham State College, Class of 1978, she worked for many years as an Educator before her retirement. Ramona was a high school teacher at Grace Baptist Christian Academy in Attleboro and an elementary school teacher at First Baptist Christian Academy in Warwick, RI.A resident of Attleboro for the past forty years, she previously lived in Norfolk, MA. A woman of great faith and devotion, she was a member of the Plainville Baptist Church in Plainville, MA. She was an avid reader who enjoyed gardening, hummingbirds, and quilting, and was a member of the Linsey Woolsey Quilt Guild in Attleboro. More than anything, Ramona loved being with her beloved family.In addition to her husband, Walter, she leaves her loving children: Julianne McLain of Hot Springs, AR, Melanie White of Attleboro, MA, and Joy Tyrol and her husband, Christopher Tyrol, of Attleboro, MA. She was the proud grandmother of Matt, David, Tim, Ramona, Anna, Evan, and Amber; and the adoring great-grandmother of Michael, Ryan, Alyssa, Jolie, and Hailey. Ramona was the dear sister of Lillian Hollick of VA, Raymond Broas of NY, Freda Roney of NY, and Mark Broas of NY. She leaves several nieces and nephews.Private graveside services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service in celebration of Ramona's life on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Plainville Baptist Church, 62 South Street, Plainville, MA, followed by a time of refreshment and fellowship at the church.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ramona's memory to either the Plainville Baptist Church Memorial Gift Fund, 62 South Street, Plainville, MA 02762; The American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451-8750 or at
