Ralph Harold Olsen, 88, of Harvey Street, Norton; formerly of Church Street, North Attleboro, died unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, December 11, 2011. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 8, 1923, he was a son of the late Harold M. and Petra Mathilde (Smedbol) Olsen. He was raised and educated in the Wollaston section of Quincy and he resided there until moving to North Attleboro in 1977 and then to Norton 9 years ago. He was employed at the former Colstone Restaurant in North Attleboro as a dishwasher for many years. During World War II he was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He leaves a sister: Lois O. Gillespie of Largo, Florida; two nieces: Joan H. Lindstrom of Wauchula, Florida and Carolyn G. Ehley of Inverness, Florida; four great nieces: Patricia H. Diaz of Attleboro; Karen M. Glazier of Windermere, Florida; Nancy J. Holden of Attleboro Falls and Tammy L. Thacher of Harwich; three great great nephews: Andrew Holden and Timothy Holden of Attleboro Falls and Cameron Thacher of Harwich and many dear caregivers and friends. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a graveside funeral service on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro with the Rev. Carole L. Baker, Pastor of Central Congregational Church, Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, officiating.
