Raimundo Alfonso Ticas, 82, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Attleboro HealthCare in Attleboro.
Born on March 9, 1937 in El Salvador, he was the son of the late Joaquin Tenorio and the late Emma Ticas.
Raimundo worked for many years as a Taxi Driver in El Salvador before retiring in 1994, then coming to the United States in 2000.
A warm, outgoing man who was always happy and smiling, he enjoyed listening to music, travel, especially to El Salvador and Honduras, and delighted in the simple pleasure of eating. A hard working man, he treasured the freedom of having been self-employed throughout his life. Raimundo cherished spending time with his family, especially with his daughter, Rita.
He was the father of Marisa P. Ticas of Pawtucket, RI; Franklin I. Ticas of Attleboro, MA; Walter E. Ticas of El Salvador; Rita E. Ticas of Pawtucket, RI; the late Marisa Ticas and the late Gerber Ticas. He leaves eleven grandchildren and his sisters: Blanca Ticas of El Salvador and Marina Archilla of Attleboro, MA. Raimundo was predeceased by his siblings: Elva Adelina Ticas, Louis Fermin Ticas, and Marta Ticas. He leaves several nieces and nephews, near and far, including his special nephew, Juan Ticas of Attleboro, MA, who always took wonderful care of Raimundo.
Friends and relatives are cordially invited to honor and remember Raimundo by gathering for a Visitation on Monday, December 2, 2019?from?11:00?a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, with a Funeral Service and Time of Remembrance at 1:00 p.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will follow in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.
