Priscilla A. "Pat" LaValley, 70, of Maple Terrace, Attleboro, died on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late John W. LaValley, Sr. who died on October 21, 2009. Born in Southbridge, Massachusetts on January 5, 1942, she was a daughter of the late O'Neil and Ida (Dupaul) Asselin. She resided in Southbridge until the age of 16 when she moved to Providence, Rhode Island where she resided until moving to Attleboro in 1972. Mrs. LaValley was employed as an assembler at Texas Instruments in Attleboro for many years and as an enameller at the former Levens Manufacturing Company in Attleboro from 1979 - 1991. Her life was centered on her love for her family and she had a lifelong love for animals, in particularly dogs, cats and birds. She leaves a son: James Ramaglia and his wife, Linda Ramaglia, of Fall River; her stepchildren: Darlene Pinkham in Maine; Alfred LaValley and John W. LaValley, II both in Rhode Island; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother-in-law: Robert LaValley and his wife, Ann (Tatarian) LaValley, of Attleboro and extended family members and friends. She was the stepmother of the late Ann Walsh and was the sister of the late Gloria Wilson. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Monday, December 17, 2012 from 11:00 - 11:30 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Those in need of a ride to visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such gratis transportation. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral service immediately following visitation on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:30 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with Pastor Gary Morris and Rev. Alan Silva both of the Hope Bible Church, Somerset, co-officiating. Burial will follow in Newell Burying Ground, South Attleboro. Children's room available during visitation and the funeral. Following funeral services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship, refreshments and remembrance at a location to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. LaValley's name may be made to the Massachusetts SPCA, 1300 West Elm Street Extension, Brockton, MA 02301 in honor of her love for animals.
