Priscilla C. "Carol" Theberge

May 24, 1940 — June 21, 2023

Priscilla C. "Carol" (Parmenter) Theberge,83, was freed from all earthly pain, sadness and fear on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Garden Place Healthcare Center in Attleboro, MA. She has now rejoined her much missed husband and loved ones who went before her.
Carol was born in Beverly, MA, on May 24, 1940, to the late Lloyd Millard Parmenter and Norma Althea (Price) Parmenter. Carol was their cherished only surviving child.
She grew up in Beverly, attending school there, and became a "candy striper" at the Beverly Hospital at age 16 where she met her future husband. She became a Catholic at age 18 to marry Frederick F. Theberge at St. Mary's Star of the Sea in Beverly on April 4, 1959. They made their home in Attleboro where they worked and raised a family. They eventually realized their shared dream of visiting Europe and Hawaii.
Carol was an employee at Swank, Inc. in Attleboro for 30 years. In 2008, after her husband's passing, she moved to Tennessee to be near her son. She lived with her son and Jeannene Munz, who became her dear friend and constant caregiver for the last 5 of those years and returned to Massachusetts in September 2022.
She was a happy and contented "stay at home" mother for 12 years before working the "mother's shift" at Swank, later working full time. She was the light and laughter in her home. She was attentive, doting, and adoring when her children were young, and they grew up in a home where there were always pets to be nurtured, games to play, books to be read and songs to be sung.
Carol was always outgoing and social. She loved to be with people. She was vibrant, red headed, and lovely, always smiling and ready for anything. Even through Alzheimer's, her fight and determination and ability to express love never left her.
She leaves her son, Frederick C. Theberge and his companion, Jeannene Munz, both of Tennessee, and a daughter, Cynthia L. Sanford, and her husband Steven Sanford of Attleboro. She is also survived by her cherished granddaughters: Clarissa Carol of Attleboro and Sarabeth Emily of Warren, RI.; and her dear great-grandchildren, Rachel and Salem of Warren, RI. She has rejoined her grandson, Thomas James Sanford. Carol is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be privately held.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA.
Private graveside services will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Attleboro, MA, at which time Carol will be laid to rest alongside her dear late husband, Fred.
