Prabha Rani Khandelwal

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mrs. Prabha Rani Khandelwal, 79, of Mansfield, MA, on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Prof. Bishan Lal Khandelwal.Born on July 20, 1937 in India, she was the daughter of the late Raj Kumar Khandelwal and the late Prema Devi Khandelwal. Mrs. Khandelwal was a loving homemaker for her family, and will forever be remembered as a kind, gentle, caring woman. She was a strong, forward thinking individual, known for her strength in the face of adversity.In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three cherished children: Anil and Amita Khandelwal of Canada; Atul and Bindu Khandelwal of India; and Bandana Khandelwal and Sanjeev Mukerjee of Mansfield, MA. She was the treasured grandmother of five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and leaves many nieces and nephews, including one special nephew, Bharat Khandelwal, who was like a son to her.Family and friends are invited to attend a ritual Hindu Funeral Service and Visitation on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the National Historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, ¾ mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, then proceeding from the funeral home to Woodlawn North Purchase Crematory in Attleboro for a Hindu Funeral Service and Cremation at 3:30 p.m..
