Phyllis Juanita (Jack) Taylor, 75, of Thirteenth Street, Attleboro, died on Sunday, November 28, 2004 at her residence after having been surrounded by the love and prayers of her family and friends for the last several weeks during her illness. She was the former wife of G. W. Ernest Taylor of Attleboro. Born in Country Harbour, Nova Scotia, Canada on December 22, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Cora Edna ?Dolly? Jack. She moved to the United States in November 1959 and settled in Attleboro where she remained a resident. She was raised and educated in Nova Scotia. She had been employed as an inspector for the Materials and Control Department of Texas Instruments from 1962 until 1975. She then was employed as a nurse?s aide at the former Hilton House in Attleboro and had been employed as an inspector for Automatic Machines in Attleboro. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church, Attleboro. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, line dancing, Celtic and bluegrass music and baking. Her most precious times were those spent raising her children as a dedicated homemaker. In later years she cherished the time spent in the company of her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her former husband, she leaves four daughters: Erna L. Simkins of Princeton, West Virginia and her late husband, David L. Simkins; Jo-Ann Baillargeon and her husband, Normand Baillargeon, of Cumberland, Rhode Island; Edna Meadows and her late husband, Stephen Meadows, of King, North Carolina and Wendy J. Witherell and her husband, Steven Witherell, of Attleboro; two sons: Joseph R. Taylor and his wife, Joyce Taylor, of Attleboro and Wade M. Taylor of Attleboro; eleven grandchildren: Dawn Simkins of Roanoke, Virginia; V. Jay Simkins of Ft. Mill, South Carolina; Erica Simanski of Pascoag, RI; Normand Baillargeon II of Cumberland, RI; Christopher Taylor of Princeton, West Virginia; Ashley Meadows of King, North Carolina; Stephen Meadows of King, North Carolina; Jessie Allison of Pawtucket, RI; Jade Taylor of Attleboro; Joel Witherell of Attleboro and Joshua Witherell of Attleboro; 14 great grandchildren; five sisters: Maxine Archibald, Peg Frasier, Muriel McManaman, Vivian Jack and Evelyn Jack all of Nova Scotia; three brothers: ?Buster? Jack, Bryce Jack and Robert ?Bobby? Jack all of Nova Scotia and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at 7:00 PM in the ?Commonwealth Chapel? of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Jewel Hardmon Everett, officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, East River-St. Mary?s, Nova Scotia, Canada. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 from 4:00 ? 7:00 PM prior to the commencement of funeral services. Children?s room available during visitation and funeral service.
