Phyllis "Chickie" Mary (Foley) Louis, 91, of Norton, MA, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, June 12, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late David Joseph Louis.
Born in Boston, MA on August 14, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Foley and the late Lola (Saunderson) Foley. She was raised and educated in Boston where she was a graduate of Mission Hill High School.
She moved to Norton in 2022 from Marion, MA where she had resided since 1996. Previously, "Chickie" was a long time resident of Randolph, MA.
"Chickie" was employed as a cafeteria worker for the Randolph school district for many years prior to her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Wareham, MA for many years.
Her favorite pastime was spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren creating lifelong memories to cherish.
A lover of country music, she was also a passionate dancer well into her 80's. Prior to her husband passing, the two of them enjoyed creating high-end crafts together.
Left to mourn her loss are her two beloved sons: Steven D. Louis and his wife, Sheryl Louis, of Omaha, Nebraska and Michael J. Louis and his wife, Robin (Horton) Louis of Attleboro, MA; four grandchildren: James Louis and Alison Louis both of Attleboro, MA and Amber Louis and Kimberly Louis both of Phoenix, Arizona. She was the sister-in-law of Gloria LaTremouille of Ashland, MA and was the aunt of Carol Pomeroy, Joseph Foley and John Foley all in Vermont and Robert Foley of Weymouth, MA. She also leaves several great nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late John Foley and the late James Foley.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Visitation on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 9:00 - 10:00 am in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 am in the "Memorial Chapel". Burial will follow in Central Cemetery, Randolph, MA.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in "Chickie's" name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
