Philip J. Pignone Sr.

February 19, 1949 — September 14, 2024

Philip “Phil” J. Pignone Sr., 75, of North Attleboro, MA., passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston MA. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Barnes) Pignone. They were happily married for 47 years.

Born in Somerville, MA., on February 19, 1949, he was the son of the late Frank and Phyllis (Pappalardo) Pignone.

Phil loved his family and had a kind heart. He was a humble and quiet man who mostly kept his thoughts to himself but wasn’t afraid to tell you he loved you or that he was happy for you and your accomplishments and joys. He couldn’t live without his wife Nancy, was incredibly proud of his son Philip and was in love with his precious granddaughter Isabella who he affectionately referred to as “the baby”. He also loved his cats as if they were his children and loved petting them and having them sit on his lap. There was nothing he wouldn’t give you to make you happy or comfortable. He also had an amazing sense of humor and loved to laugh and to make you laugh with his “one-liners” and impressions.

He worked hard for many years to take care of his family and was a very talented glazier and mirror man. He was a leader at work where he was looked up to and relied upon. Phil was an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and at an Army base in Oklahoma. He was a tremendous athlete who played pitcher and first base in baseball. He also played hockey, football and was an excellent bowler. He loved going out to eat, going for ice cream and spending time by the water.

Most importantly, Phil was a man of faith and was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He believed in the Bible’s promise of a resurrection where those in God’s memory will come back to life on a paradise earth in perfect health and happiness. His family and friends, who will greatly miss him, also believe in this promise wholeheartedly and are eager to welcome him back.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving son Philip “Phil” J. Pignone Jr. and his wife, Eneida of Cumberland, RI; a cherished granddaughter, Isabella Pignone and a devoted brother, Stanley Pignone. He was the brother of the late Marie and Frank Pignone.

A Service will be held at 2:00 on Saturday September 28, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 88 Commonwealth Ave, Attleboro, MA.

Burial will be private at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
