Philip Thomas Dobbins, 78 Good Friend to ManyPhilip Thomas Dobbins, 78, of Dunham Street, Attleboro, died on April 21, 2011 at the Madonna Manor in North Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise (Marrier) Dobbins to whom he was married June 29, 1969 in Plainville, Massachusetts and who died on December 5, 2007. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 13, 1933, he was a son of the late Charles and Theresa (Rogers) Dobbins. Prior to moving to Attleboro, Mr. Dobbins was a resident of Taunton and a native of Boston. In earlier years, Mr. Dobbins was employed as a farm hand. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends as a man who was a good friend to many people and had a kind and gentle soul and heart. Always willing to lend a hand, he would offer those in need a place to stay and food if they were hungry. He cherished taking care of others and will be lovingly remembered for his infectious smile and ability to make others laugh. Mr. Dobbins attended the Corner Clubhouse in Attleboro and treasured most the time spent with family and friends, in particular the love he showed his beloved wife, Louise. He is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by all of his siblings: James, Charles, Bernard, Theodore, Sr., Irene and Mary. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 9:30 AM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
