Philip Paul Connell, Jr., 74, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Grandview Center in Cumberland, RI. He was the beloved husband of Joanne E. (DeMello) Connell, to whom he was married on June 26, 1965.Born on July 23, 1943 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Philip Paul Connell, Sr., and the late Ann Geraldine (McGreevey) Connell.Paul was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School, Class of 1962, and Wentworth Institute of Technology, and worked for more than fifty years as a Plumbing Contractor and the Owner and Operator of the former Connell Company in Norwood, MA. A resident of North Attleboro for the past two years, he previously lived in Norwood and Rochester MA.Paul was a skilled maker with an artistic eye. He created beautiful wooden bowls and furniture. His prize-winning photography, which spanned large format film to digital, captured the incredible beauty of the natural New England that inspired him. Paul mastered anything that interested him from sailing, diving, building clocks or tinkering with mechanical things. He especially loved spending time with his family and had a special place in his heart for dogs, particularly his grand-dogs "Hank" and "Max."In addition to his wife, Joanne, he leaves his loving children: Susan M. Kane and her husband, Sean E. Kane, of Seekonk, MA; Pamela A. Lumnah and her husband, Richard J. Lumnah, of North Attleboro, MA; and Philip P. Connell III and is wife, Melissa Connell, of Chicago, IL. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of Jake, Ian, Seamus, Ryan, and Delaney. Paul was the brother of Celia McDonough and her husband, James McDonough, of Dorchester, MA, and William Connell and his wife, Christine Connell, of Kirkland, WA.
