Philip Joseph Burns, Jr., 50, of North Attleboro, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the husband of Liza E. (Wilson) Burns. Born in Norwood, MA on March 26, 1963, he was a son of Virginia "Jean" T. (Deragon) Burns and the late Philip Joseph Burns, Sr.. Philip was a veteran of the United States Army. A roofer by trade, he worked for various companies in the area. He was known for his love of anything Military, particularly Army and enjoyed deep sea fishing. Philip was an avid sports fan who routed for the New England Patriots, the Boston Bruins and the Boston Red Sox. In addition to his wife, he leaves two children: Philip Burns of Plainville; Kasecy C. Burns at home with her mother; two brothers: William Burns of Hammenton, NJ; Kenneth Burns of Hanson; his beloved aunt: Katherine Deragon of Plainville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a graveside service with Military Honors which will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Massachusetts National Cemetery, MacArthur Boulevard in Bourne.
