Peter Joseph McGrath, 61, of Hill Street, Norton, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on August 27, 1953, he was a son of the late James L. McGrath and Frances (Macaruso) Alix. He was the stepson of Oscar Alix of North Attleboro and the late Grace McGrath. He resided in Norton for almost 30 years after having resided at the Paul A. Dever School in Taunton. Peter will be remembered for his sense of humor and mischievous ways. He would often take his roommate's socks when his caregivers were not looking and then pretend he did not do it. He brightened everyone's days with his infectious smile. Peter leaves his brother: Michael E. McGrath and his wife, Diane (Nalinnes) McGrath of Naples, Florida and his sister: Diane (DeSantis) Ehnstrom and her husband, Peter Ehnstrom, in Hawaii. He is survived by his family of caregivers who loved him and will miss him, especially Ann and Carol whom were his caregivers for more than 20 years. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM in the "Commonwealth Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home (508-695-0200), 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the Funeral Service immediately following visitation on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the "Commonwealth Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Towne Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
