Perpetual Wakonyo Gatheca, 41, of Austin Street, Worcester, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at St. Vincent?s Medical Center in Worcester. Born at Tumutumu Hospital in Nyeri, Kenya on December 1, 1965, she was a daughter of Shellomith Wanjiru Kibaiyu of Kenya and the late Festus Gatheca Kabinga. She immigrated to the United States six years ago seeking medical treatment for her beloved daughter, Scarlet. Since coming to America, she resided in Worcester. Ms. Gatheca was currently employed as a certified nurse?s aide for Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Worcester. She was a member of the Compassionate Fellowship, Worcester. In addition to her mother, Ms. Gatheca leaves her cherished daughter: Scarlet Wanjiru, 10 years old, of Worcester; a beloved nephew: Francis Wanjau of Worcester and a host of family and friends in the Worcester area and in her homeland of Kenya. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Monday, April 30, 2007 from 1:00 ? 5:00 PM in the ?Memorial Chapel? of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Funeral services will be held in Kenya. Burial will be at the Kirima Farm Cemetery in Tumutumu, Kenya. Children?s room available during visitation.
