Peggy Anne Mcmanus

Peggy Anne (Tweedie) McManus, 75, of Pawtucket, RI, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel T. McManus.Born on March 26, 1943 in Unity, ME, she was the daughter of the late James Tweedie and Maxine (Shorey) Gecawich.A graduate of Colt Memorial High School, where she was the Class Selectorian. Peggy worked for more than twenty years as a Sales Associate for Benny's.Peggy was a resident of Pawtucket for the past twenty-six years, having previously lived in Bristol, RI. She was a member of the Warren United Methodist Church in Warren, RI. More than anything in her life, she loved her family and treasured spending time with them. She enjoyed knitting, especially blankets; listening to country music; selling Tupperware for many years; and was always the strongest and most dedicated supporter of her husband's musical career.She was the loving mother of Timothy D. Blake and his wife, Diane C. (Testa) Blake, of Coventry, RI; Ted Blake and his wife, Deborah (Entwistle) Blake, of Kinsley, KS; Chari S. Mastrostefano and her husband, Robert Mastrostefano, of East Providence, RI; Dana M. Blake and his wife, Tina (Bell) Blake, of East Providence, RI: and Rebecca S. Blake, of East Providence, RI. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Peggy was the sister of Sally L Alegria and her husband, Manuel C. Alegria, of Marion, SC; Judy Reilly and her husband, James Reilly, of Warren, RI; and James Tweedie and his wife, Beverly Tweedie, of Smithfield, RI.
