Obituary

Pauline "Pat" (Voccio) Cruso, 91, a lifelong resident of Bristol, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice in Providence, Rhode Island with her family at her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Cruso, Sr., to whom she was married in 1954 and entered eternal rest on January 5, 1991.

Born in Bristol, Rhode Island on January 5, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Peter Voccio and the late Natalizia (Medina) Voccio. "Pat" as she was lovingly known, was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol.

She was a 1953 graduate of the former Colt High School in Bristol.

With her late sister, Rose DiMezza, she operated the dining room cafeteria services for employees of the Dixon Corporation in Bristol from 1973 - 1981.

Along with her husband, she owned and operated Star Video in Warren, RI for 8 years and later the Parkway Plaza Laundromat in the Riverside neighborhood of East Providence, RI for 7 years.

She enjoyed playing golf and cards, but will be remembered most for her sparkling eyes, her laugh and her love to socialize with family and friends.

However, her most special times were those surrounded by family creating lifelong memories to be cherished.

Left to mourn her loss are her children: Robert Cruso, Jr. and his wife, Ann (Gencerelli) Cruso, of Westerly, Rhode Island and Natalie (Cruso) Coletta and her husband, John Coletta, of Bristol, RI; her grandchildren: Alicia (Cruso) Lucas, Elaina (Coletta) DiLillo and her husband, Michael; David Cruso, John Enrico Coletta, Briana (Coletta) Parente and her husband, Trevor; James Cruso and his wife, April (Flemming) Cruso; Elizabeth Cruso and Laura Cruso; her great grandchildren: Katherine and Eva Lucas, Halden, Kaia, and Ryden Parente, Michael and Giovanni DiLillo and countless nieces and nephews over three generations, extended family members and many dear friends.

The last of the Voccio children, she was predeceased by all her siblings - the late Mary Della Fava, Minnie Carmone, Antoinette Raponi, Josephine Voccio, Rose DiMezza and Laura Barreira.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Pat's name and memory may be made to Hope Health Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
