Pauline L. (Turgeon) Dyer Arruda, 97, of Wrentham, MA and formerly of Plainville, MA, passed away on January 25, 2024, at the Alliance Health at Maples in Wrentham, MA where she had been a resident. She was the wife of the late Joseph Antone Arruda who died on May 4, 2020 and the late David E. Dyer.
She was born in Attleboro, MA on November 2, 1926, a daughter of the late Adgutor M. Turgeon and the late Yvonne (Roberge) Turgeon. Raised and educated in her native city, Mrs. Arruda was a 1945 graduate of Attleboro High School.
For many years, she was a secretary for Dr. Fred Wohl in Attleboro and for W. H.Reilly in North Attleboro prior to her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Plainville Senior Center and was a communicant of the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mary, North Attleboro, MA.
She was the mother of the late Wendy Ann Ames who died on March 1, 2021 and leaves her daughter's husband: Gregory Ames, formerly of Pawtucket, RI.
She was the grandmother of Heather Clark of North Attleboro, MA and Cheryl Lacey of Burrillville, RI and great grandmother of David Raposa of West Warwick, RI and Hadleigh Clark and Hunter Clark both of North Attleboro, MA. In addition, she leaves her nieces and nephews: Cathy Spitzer of Rome, New York; Gary Sanocki in North Carolina and Lianne Bruce of Somerset, MA.
Mrs. Arruda was the sister of the late RIta Sanocki.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend A Celebration of Her Life on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Burial will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.
