Pauline Eva (Dion) Paradis, 94, a lifelong resident of the City of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Henri A. Paradis.Born in Attleboro, MA on January 5, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Jean-Baptiste Dion and the late Eva Marguerite (LePage) Dion. Raised and educated in the City of Attleboro, she attended St. Joseph Elementary and was a 1945 graduate of Attleboro High School.She was a dedicated and devoted homemaker and worked for ten years as a clerical worker and in the gift shop at the National Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette in Attleboro. Her strong faith and devotion made this position perfect for her. In earlier years, Mrs. Paradis was employed as an office employee at O. Ed. Cameron Electroplating in Attleboro, MA.Pauline was a lifelong communicant of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Attleboro.She volunteered for more than 3,000 hours at Sturdy Memorial Hospital and knitted countless hats and booties for children born with AIDS. A volunteer at the Attleboro Senior Center, she also enjoyed partaking in exercise classes at the center. For many years she was a volunteer with the Girl Scouts of the USA as leader of troop #985. As a woman of faith, she was a member of the Women's Guild at St. Joseph Church, was involved in the Christian Family Movement, Cursillo Retreats. Family Retreats, which she co-led with her husband through LaSalette and was involved in the Emmaus Retreats offered through the Fall River Diocese. Remarkably, she was a Eucharistic Minister well into her 90's. Her gentle, loving nature inspired many and she will be dearly missed.Left to mourn her loss are her children: Melanie Paradis, O.S.F. of Wheaton, Illinois; Claire M. Pepin and her husband, Ronald Pepin, of Attleboro, MA; Adele P. Paradis of North Attleboro, MA; Mark H. Paradis and his wife, BrendaJean Paradis, of Hopkinton, New Hampshire and Christine P. Stelzer and her husband, Gerard Stelzer, of Groton, MA; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.She was the sister of the late Raymond Dion and the late Theresa M. Cameron.Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Visitation on Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 9:00 - 10:15 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
