Paulette Y. (Chicoine) Sloan, 63, of North Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family at her residence on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, just as she had wanted. She was the wife of Stephen Flaherty Sloan to whom she was married on October 9, 1990.
Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on December 25, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Normand Rock Chicoine and the late Noella R. (Plante) Chicoine. She was a graduate of Blackstone High School. She resided in North Attleboro for the past 14 years having moved to the community from Falmouth, MA.
Paulette was employed as a waitress for various restaurants over the years and lastly worked at the Highlander Laundromat for ten years before her illness.
She will be best remembered for her love for Second Beach in Middletown, Rhode Island, for always having a Cumberland Farms Iced Coffee in her hand and a scratch ticket in the other. However, her greatest joy was creating lifelong memories with her cherished family.
In addition to her husband of almost 32 years, she leaves two sons: Alan Pennington of North Attleboro, MA and Eric Pennington and his wife, Roberta, of Burrillville, Rhode Island; three stepchildren: Stephen Sloan and his wife, Stephanie, of West Roxbury, MA; David Sloan of Uxbridge, MA and Amareeka Durham and her husband, Bobby, of Attleboro, MA; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; her siblings: Richard Chicoine and his wife, Suzanne, of Blackstone, MA and Colette Dalpe and her husband, Robert, of Middletown, Rhode Island and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Visitation on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
A brief prayer service will conclude visitation at 8:00 p.m.
Burial will be private.
