Paul Victor Swenson, 92, life-long resident of Attleboro, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Life Care Center in Attleboro. Born in Attleboro on February 21, 1922, he was the son of the late Nils V. and Esther J. (Peterson) Swenson. Mr. Swenson, a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1940, was employed in sales at Johnson Decorating in Attleboro for over 40 years, prior to his retirement in 1984. Paul was a member of the Plainville Baptist Church in Plainville. He was known as a kind and gentle man, who cared for his mother until she passed away at the age 104. Among his many favorite pastimes were music, reading, listening to talking books, antique cars and walking. He also loved anything to do with English History and the American Civil War. Paul is survived by his friends and caregivers: Daniel and Carlene Nolin; their children: Daniel A. and his wife, Linda M. Nolin and Bonnie J. Otto and her husband, Glenn H. of Plainville; and the Nolin grandchildren. He is also survived by a few cousins in Sweden. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Graveside Service on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11:30 AM in Hillside Cemetery, South Main Street, Attleboro with Pastor Dave Meunier of the Plainville Baptist Church, Officiating.
