Paul Norman Swanson,74, of Coventry, Rhode Island died at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 5, 2020. He was the husband of Kathleen M. (Taylor) Swanson to whom he was married on May 28, 1988.
Born in Brockton, MA on June 17, 1946, he was a son of the late John A. Swanson and the late Ruth (Patriquin) Swanson.
A resident of Coventry, RI since 2015 having moved back to Rhode Island from Kissimmee, Florida where he resided from 2008 - 2015. He resided in Pawtucket prior to moving to Florida.
Mr. Swanson was employed as a machinist for Teknor-Apex in Pawtucket, RI for 15 years prior to his retirement.
He enjoyed watching television, enjoying a beer, fixing cars, attending car shows, time spent on his motorcycle and dancing to 50's music. However, his greatest joy came from the time spent creating memories with his family.
In addition to his wife, he leaves 8 children: Paula Swanson of Manville, RI; Tammy Murray of Coventry, RI; Laurel Villada of Pawtucket, RI; Paul Swanson of Riverside, RI; Stacey Schokroo of Attleboro, MA; Krissy Perry of Farmington, NH; Gregory Corbett of Bartlett, NH and Rick Corbett of Riverside, RI; 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; two sisters: Beth Swanson of Attleboro, MA and Jeanene Cobuccio of Attleboro, MA; two brothers: Jack Swanson in Florida and Joel Swanson of Warwick, RI and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
With strict adherence to applicable coronavirus health precautions, including social distancing and the mandatory use of facemasks, family and friends are cordially invited to honor Paul by attending Visitation on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA
