Paul Arthur Pierce, 52, of Mansfield, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the home of his loving sister and caregiver, Diane "Penny" R. Heida, in Norton, MA. He was the beloved companion and fiancée of Maya K. Johnson of Franklin, MA, whom he met on his birthday on April 23, 2014.Born on April 23, 1965 in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Russell E. Pierce and the late Donna (Britton) Pierce.A graduate of King Phillip High School, Class of 1983, he worked for many years in the field of Information Technology and as an Electrician. Paul was a lifelong resident of Mansfield. He was a loving brother and friend, and was truly a thoughtful, caring, and generous person who was helpful to all he knew. He enjoyed all things having to do with medieval times and events, listening to music, and computers. Paul had a very special place in his heart for his two faithful companions: his cats "Rowan" and "Ash".In addition to his fiancée, Maya K. Johnson and his sister, Penny Heida and her husband, Jim H. Heida, he is survived by his dear siblings: Juanita S. Walraven and her husband, Ronald Walraven, of Talbot, TN; Karen A. Staples and her husband, Bob Staples, of Melbourne, FL; Jean E. Whitten and her husband, Roger Whitten, of Marston Mills, MA; Ann-Marie Manning and her husband, Martin Manning, of Fryberg, ME; Bobbie L. Tintindo and her son, Danny L. Tintindo, of Mansfield; MA: and Danny Tintindo, Sr., of Attleboro MA. He leaves his caring cousin and friend who was there to provide support to him, Beverly Lishman of Mansfield, MA; three generations of nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.A Memorial and Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Congregational Church of Mansfield, followed by private burial in Spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's name to Paws of Plainville, P.O.
