Paul S. Pickering, 67 of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Born in Attleboro, MA, on November 2, 1955, he was the loving son of Betty (Lemmo) Pickering and the late Leonard Pickering.
As an able-bodied young man, Paul lived life to the fullest. When Paul wasn't bartending at Lenny's Lounge, he might be found playing hockey, softball, or listening to music with his many friends. His adventurous spirit knew no limits which was evident when he and his best friend, Nick Rivello, jumped from an airplane in Taunton.
These memories brought solace after his accident in 1986; however, nothing could temper Paul's spirit. He continued to share his love of music by creating custom CDs using his extensive music catalog. Over the years his love of New England sports and desire to learn kept him busy while he maintained and created many friendships. These relationships continue to be a source of comfort to his family.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his devoted siblings: David Pickering and his wife, Laurie, of Falmouth, MA; Claudia J. (Bergevine) Rose and her husband, Alfred, of North Carolina; Susan O'Connor of Rhode Island; and Robert Pickering of Florida. He is also survived by his cherished niece and nephews: Kevin Pickering of Charleston, South Carolina; Joel Pickering of Falmouth, MA; and Jennifer Bergevine of Barrington, RI; as well as his dear great nieces and nephews. Paul was the brother in-law of the late David O'Connor and the uncle of the late Ian Pickering
