Patricia Ann (Malloy) Silva, 79, of Attleboro Falls, MA, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Life Care Center of Attleboro in Attleboro, MA. Patricia was the beloved wife of Kenneth E. Silva, to whom she was married on July 25, 1959.Born on November 1, 1936 in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late James Francis Malloy and Alice M. (Brown) Malloy.Patricia resided in Attleboro Falls for twenty-six years, having previously lived in Medfield, MA. She was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1954, and Katherine Gibbs College, Class of 1955. Patricia was employed for many years as an Executive Secretary, including at American Sisalcraft Corporation. She was a communicant of St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church in the Village of Attleboro Falls.Patricia's life was a full and active one. Being married to a Captain in the United States Army involved considerable travel for her and her family. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed gardening and flowers, and could lovingly be described as being very Irish. Most important to Patricia was the time she spent with her cherished family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Kenneth, she leaves her loving sons: Timothy J. Silva and his wife, Susan E. (Hooven) Silva, of Mechanicville, NY; Patrick K. Silva of North Attleboro, MA, whose late wife, Karen Ann (Bierlich) Silva was like a daughter to her; and Kevin T. Silva and his wife, Doreen C. (DeSousa) Silva, of East Providence, RI. She was the sister of Sheila (Malloy) Aubin and her husband, Robert E. Aubin, of Attleboro, MA and Naples, FL; and James F. Malloy, Jr. and his wife, Jean (Moran) Malloy, of Bonita Springs, FL. She leaves five treasured grandchildren: Andrew M. Silva, Timothy P. Silva, Marisa L. Silva, Ryan M. Silva, and Tanya L. Sousa; many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.She was the sister of the late Beverly (Malloy) Rice and her late husband, Vincent Rice.Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, ¾ mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Children's room is available during visitation and while the funeral cortege is being organized.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the Funeral on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. from the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, 105 Stanley Street (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, turn right onto Stanley Street in ½ mile and travel to end of Stanley Street), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, with the Rev.
