Patricia "Pat" Jane Richards

Patricia "Pat" Jane (Wenner) Richards, 83, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Life Care Center of Attleboro in Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of Thomas "Tom" Ramsay Richards, to whom she was married on November 4, 1955. Born on November 12, 1934 in Bethlehem, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Madeline (Leister) Wenner. She was a graduate of Bethlehem High School, Class of 1952, and the Allentown (PA) General Hospital School of Nursing. Pat worked for ten years as a Registered Nurse at Milford Hospital in Milford, CT before retiring in 1970. A resident of North Attleboro since 1975, she previously lived in Orange, CT. Pat was truly a sweet, fine, devout, and caring woman. She was an active member of the Second Congregational Church in Attleboro, MA, where she was a member of the choir and the Prayer Shawl Committee, having made over 250 church shawls over the years. She was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Pat was a skilled craftswoman in various needle arts, including knitting, quilting, and sewing, and enjoyed making children's clothing and even her own wedding dress. More than anything, though, Pat was a loving and much beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her husband, Tom, she is survived by her children: Nancy C. (Richards) Bossi, RN, of Ephrata, PA; Judith A. (Richards) Tarselli and her companion, Richard Patchett, of North Attleboro, MA; Thomas Daniel Richards and his wife, Yvonne Richards, of Lancaster, PA; William David Richards of North Attleboro, MA; and Douglas Edward Richards of Harrisville, RI. She was the adoring grandmother of Michael A. Tarselli and his wife, Jessica Tarselli; Matthew J. Tarselli and his wife, Nicole Tarselli; and Andrew Bossi; and the proud great-grandmother of Brewer J. Tarselli and Henry J. Tarselli. Pat was the sister of Jacqueline Vibert of North Attleboro and Seekonk, MA, and her late husband, Thomas Vibert; and Thomas Frederick "Fritz" Wenner and his wife, Joan Wenner, of Idaho Falls, ID, and Julian Wenner and his wife Pat Wenner of Bethlehem, PA. She leaves several nieces and nephews, many dear friends, neighbors, and her church friends. Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Pat by gathering for a Memorial Service on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Second Congregational Church, 50 Park Street, Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Graveside Service at 4:00 p.m. in Paine Cemetery, Paine Road, North Attleboro, MA.
