Patricia Lambi Heywood, 83, formerly of Attleboro, MA passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
Born in Melrose, MA on August 30, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Joseph James Crowley and the late Eleanor Mae (Barry) Crowley. She was raised in Medford, MA and enjoyed spending summers during her youth at their family’s home on Plum Island.
In addition to being a self-employed hairdresser and former owner of The Cutting Closet in South Attleboro, MA, she devoted her earlier years to raising her two sons, and then to spending time with her grandchildren. Whether it was volunteering at school or sporting events, sewing clothes and costumes, cooking Sunday dinners, or being the “go-to” babysitter, she always put others before herself. “Grammy”, as she was known for the last 33 years, was loved and adored by all who knew her.
She was an active member of the South Attleboro Lions Club and also enjoyed several pastimes throughout her life, including camping at Bourne Scenic Park on Cape Cod, playing golf, bowling, ceramics, and gardening, all of which brought her even greater joy when spent with her life-long friends and family.
She was the devoted mother of Arthur Lambi, Jr. and his wife, Susan L. (Berard) Lambi of Cumberland, RI and Thomas Lambi and his wife, Helen (Ortega) Lambi of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; loving “Grammy” to her six grandchildren: Jessica Silinonte and her husband, Michael; Nicole Lambi her fiancé, Mac Crispino; John Moran, Jr., Zachary Lambi, Cameron Lambi and Alyssa Lambi; three great grandchildren: Hannah Silinonte, Carlos Moran and Melody Moran; loving sibling of: Virginia McNulty of Chelmsford, MA and Gerald Crowley of Tewksbury, MA ; and she was cherished by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Joseph Crowley.
Patricia’s family are forever grateful for the kindness, loving care, and support, received from the CNAs, nurses, and staff at The Friendly Home in Woonsocket, RI and at Chapel Hill in Cumberland, RI. Because of their collective efforts, our family was able to embrace Grammy hundreds of times since her illness, and create many more fond memories as we shared special family events and holidays during the last seventeen months; none of which was more treasured than the first visit between her and her two-month old Great Grand Daughter, Hannah, just a few weeks ago.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 8:00 am until 9:30 am in the “Memorial Chapel” of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
The funeral cortege will then leave for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, 3587 Diamond Hill Rd, Cumberland, RI. Burial and repast will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to the Lilly Cares Foundation, PO Box 501847, San Diego, CA 92150 - “Helping U.S. Patients with Financial Need to Receive their Prescriptions at No Cost”.
