Patricia (Collins) Culhane, 73, of Burt Drive, North Attleboro, died on Friday, October 11, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was the wife of the late John Philip Culhane who died on August 5, 1998. Born in Arlington, Massachusetts on Christmas Eve - December 24, 1939, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Ruth (Stanley) Collins. She was raised and educated in Arlington where she was a graduate of Arlington High School in 1957 and later attended the former Taunton Clerical Skills Center in Taunton. As a professional secretary, Mrs. Culhane was employed for a number of companies including the former Foxboro National Bank, Alpha Personnel Temporary Employment Services, George Putnam Mutual Funds, Hayes Pump and Machinery Company and for the Robbins Company in Attleboro prior to her retirement. Mrs. Culhane returned to North Attleboro where she had previously resided for 18 years in 1998 from the City of Attleboro where she lived for ten years. In earlier years she was a volunteer den leader for Pack 66 in North Attleboro and also volunteered as Pack Leader. Her family recalls with fondness a mother dedicated to all of her children's activities and endeavors throughtout their lives and in more recent years those of her cherished grandchildren whom referred to her affectionately as "Nana". Her family was of paramount importance to her. Many years ago she enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She leaves four devoted children: Thomas M. Culhane of North Kingstown, Rhode Island; Sheila A. Brault of Norton; Kevin P. Culhane of North Attleboro and Sandra G. Smallwood of North Attleboro; eleven tremendously loved grandchildren; her siblings: Richard Collins of Arlington; Ellen Cabral of La Grange, North Carolina and David Collins of Arlington; several beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A Funeral Service to which family and friends are invited to attend will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Kelly Thibeault, Pastor of the First Congregational Church, Old Post Road, North Attleboro, officiating. Children's room available during visitation and the funeral service. Burial will follow in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
