Patricia L. (McGunigle) Clinton of Freeman Street in the Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, died on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at her residence surrounded by the love of her family. She was the wife of John P. Clinton to whom she was married on September 12, 1959 in South Boston. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Mrs. Clinton was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Marion A. (Lee) McGunigle. She was raised and educated in her native community of South Boston where she was a 1959 graduate of South Boston High School. She resided in South Boston until moving to the Dorchester neighborhood of the city and later moved to Attleboro Falls where she has resided since 1963. Mrs. Clinton was a graduate of the former Boston Clerical School, later known as Boston School of Business, in 1958. She was a dedicated and devoted homemaker to her family. Mrs. Clinton was a communicant of St. Mark Roman Catholic Church in the Attleboro Falls section of North Attleboro. An ardent reader, she enjoyed visiting the Plainville Library. Mrs. Clinton was an avid walker and she and her husband enjoyed dancing of all kinds including square, country, line, round, Irish and Scottish. In addition to her husband of 52 years, she leaves five children: John C. Clinton of Charlotte, North Carolina; Michael A. Clinton of North Attleboro; Lee Ann Spooner of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; Kathleen M. Wojcik of Bellingham and Jean M. Muniz of Gloucester; 13 grandchildren; several cousins and extended family members and friends. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 9:00 AM at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Thomas Frechette, Pastor, officiating. There will be no funeral cortege from the funeral home prior to the commencement of the Funeral Mass. Burial with bagpiper honors will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
