Olin Charles Burley, 90, of Forest Avenue, Seekonk, died on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro following a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Miriam L. (Fairhurst) Burley to whom he was married on May 24, 1952. Born in Greenfield, Massachusetts on May 20, 1921, he was a son of the late Joseph Olin and Florence (Wainwright) Burley. He attended trade high school in Putnam, Connecticut. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army having served during the World War II era. A carpenter craftsman by trade, Mr. Burley was employed as a maintenance carpenter by the former U.S. Rubber Company, later Uniroyal, in Providence, Rhode Island for 35 years prior to his retirement. Following his retirement, he was employed part-time at the former Bristol Nursing Home in Attleboro in the maintenance department. He attended the Faith Alliance Church, Attleboro. A resident of Seekonk for the past 56 years, he formerly resided in Pawtucket, Rhode Island after having been raised and educated in Putnam, Connecticut. He enjoyed bowling, spending time outdoors, gardening and performing carpentry projects around his home. In addition to his wife of almost 60 years, he leaves three children: Dale O. Burley and his wife, Marianne X. (Greene) Burley, of Douglas; Brenda J. Molloy and her husband, Christopher W. Molloy, of West Palm Beach, Florida and Keith J. Burley and his wife, Carla J. (Quaglia) Burley, of Attleboro; five grandchildren: Laura Burley of Douglas; Hannah Burley of Worcester; Daniel Molloy of West Palm Beach, Florida; Jacob Burley of Attleboro and Brianna Burley of Attleboro; a sister: Daisy M. Oakland of Cape Coral, Florida and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. He was the brother of the late George Wainwright. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Monday, January 9, 2012 from 6:00 8:00 PM in the Commonwealth Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
