Nubar Samuel Gulesserian

Nubar Samuel Gulesserian, 96, of North Attleboro, peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Mount St. Rita Health Centre in Cumberland, RI. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Henez (Mouradjian) Gulesserian who died on March 27, 2010. Born on October 11, 1919 in Samsun, Turkey, he was the son of the late Hamparzoum Gulesserian and the late Arshalous Gulesserian. He and his family came to this country when Nubar was four. He was raised and educated in Providence, RI. Mr. Gulesserian honorably served in the United States military during World War II. He was a longtime resident of North Attleboro, and was the proud and caring Owner and Operator of Falls Market in Attleboro Falls from 1950 until his retirement in 2001. Mr. Gulesserian loved to travel throughout the world with his late wife. He enjoyed following the stock market on CNBC television, and was an avid card player. For several months each year for the last thirty-six years he enjoyed spending time at his home in Newport, NH, where he was an active member of the area senior center and a member of the Newport Moose Lodge.He is survived by his loving children: Sandra L. (Gulesserian) Dennis and Robert N. Gulesserian, both of North Attleboro, MA. He was the adoring grandfather of Timothy Gulesserian, Jessica Strunin, and Paul Gulesserian, and cherished his great-grandchildren: Noah and Nathan Strunin, and Nora and Avia Gulesserian. He was the brother of Lillian (Gulesserian) Joannidi of Cumberland, RI, and was predeceased by one brother and one sister.Visitation has respectfully been omitted.Burial will be private.
