Norma Walker Killough

Norma Walker Killough, 95, of Attleboro, MA, passed away on March 20, 2022, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA, following a brief illness.  She was the wife of the late Odis M. "Tex" Killough whom she married on May 18, 1946, and who died on March 16, 2008.
Born in Attleboro, MA, on November 20, 1926, she was the only child of Frederick Dallas Walker and the late Georgia (Corbett) Walker.  She was a member of the Class of 1944 - Attleboro High School and remained a lifelong resident of her native city.
Mrs. Killough was employed as a clerk for Richardson-Cuddy Insurance in Attleboro for ten years prior to her retirement in 1992.  She had also worked part-time for Abacus in Attleboro for many years.
Since 1950, she was an active member of Evangelical Covenant Church in Attleboro where she served in many capacities including teaching Sunday School for more than 35 years.
She was a long-time member of the P.E.A.L. - People Enjoying Active Living in Attleboro.
She will be remembered by family and friends alike for her kindness, gentle nature, unconditional love, being the best hugger, and for the immense love and dedication she showed each member of her immediate and extended family.
She leaves her children: Scott W. Killough of Attleboro, MA; Elaine C. Killough and her wife, Catherine C. Simmons, of North Attleboro, MA; and Glenn M. Killough and his wife, Carol M. (Murphy) Killough, of Cumberland, Rhode Island; six grandchildren: Eric Killough, Catherine Killough, Lindsey Whalen, Rebekah Gilmore, Sarah Killough, and Michael Somers; 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attended visitation on Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of the Evangelical Covenant Church, 841 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA.
All are welcome to attend funeral services for Norma on Friday, March 25, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of the Evangelical Covenant Church, 841 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA.
The funeral procession will proceed on foot to nearby North Purchase Cemetery for graveside services.
Following cemetery services, an invitation will be extended to join the family in Fellowship Hall in the church for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments.
In lieu of flowers, Norma requested that donations in her name may be made to the Evangelical Covenant Church, 841 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA 02703 to benefit Christian Education.
