Norma Louise Darling

Norma Louise (Geyer) Darling, 95, of North Attleboro, MA, a former Plainville, MA, resident, passed away surrounded by her loving family at her residence on June 29, 2025.

Born in Boston, MA on March 30, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Walter Geyer and the late Ellen Louise (Putnam) Geyer. She was raised and educated in Dedham, MA and had resided in Plainville, MA prior to moving to North Attleboro, MA three years ago.

As an operator and later as a customer service representative, Mrs., Darling started her career in the telecommunications industry with Ma Bell and retired as an employee of Verizon. As a retired employee of Verizon, she was a member of the Pioneers Club.

In earlier years, she was active with the Boy Scouts of America. In the past, she enjoyed time volunteering and with friends at the North Attleboro Senior Center.

Her family recalls with fondness her love for cooking and cake decorating, reading, sewing, time spent in her flower garden, knitting and creating crafts for family and friends.

Among her surviving family members are her children: Valerie J. Darling, wife of the late Chester E. Stone, III, of North Attleboro, MA; Mark S. Darling of Marion, MA; Karen L. Kenerson and her husband, Scott A. Kenerson, of Danielson, Connecticut; Wendy A. Darling of Plainville, MA; MaryEllen T. Monty of Falmouth, MA; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was the mother of the late Wayne Arthur Darling who died on May 2, 2011, and was the late companion of Henry J. Teixeira.

Family and friends are welcome to attend Visitation on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed by Reflections and a Celebration of Her Life at 11:00 am also in the "Memorial Chapel".

Burial will follow in the Plainville Cemetery, Plainville, MA.
