Norma A. (Jette) Chestnut, 76, of Willimantic, CT, formerly of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham, CT, with her family by her side, including her granddaughter, Melanie, through Facetime. Born on March 12, 1941 in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Jette, Sr. and the late Florence L. (Rondeau) Jette.A resident of Willimantic, CT for the past twenty-seven years, Norma worked in the CD Research Department of the Bank of America before retiring. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, knitting, gardening, and a good glass of wine. Norma loved spending time with her cherished family, as well as with her faithful cat, "Apple".Norma was the beloved mother of Michelle G. Thompson and her husband, Gary Thompson, of Berlin, CT; Pamela J. DeVivo and her husband, Tom DeVivo, of Willimantic, CT; Rebecca A. Gaudreau of Willimantic, CT; and the late Karen S. Gaudreau, who died in February 2014. She was the adoring grandmother of Tiffany A. DiPietro and her husband, Michael DiPietro; Melanie A. Meila; and Brett W. Ellis; and great-grandmother of Samantha K. DiPietro and Juliette A. DiPietro. Norma was the sister of Lillian Diorio of Smithfield, RI; Joan C. Leclerc, Janet F. Stone, and Suzanne A. Jette, all of North Attleboro, MA; and Yvette N. Jette of Milford, MA, and was predeceased by her siblings: Lawrence Jette, Robert L. Jette, Roger Jette, Joseph A. Jette, Dianne L. MacKinnon, and Florence L. Jette. She leaves numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Norma was the former wife of William A. Gaudreau of East Rochester, NH, the father of her children.Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Norma by gathering for a Visitation on Sunday, September 10, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 58 Church Street, North Attleboro.
