Norma E. (Guillet) Brousseau, 80, of North Attleboro, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro, MA. She was the loving and beloved wife of Dr. Richard R. Brousseau.Born on October 4, 1936 in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Guillet and the late Eunice (Rollins) Guillet.Norma was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1954, and the Sturdy Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, from where she received her nursing degree. She then worked as a Registered Nurse for Sturdy Memorial Pediatrics before retiring in 1960 to raise her family.She was a resident of North Attleboro, MA since 2000. Norma loved Cape Cod and the ocean, and spending time with her family in South Harwich, MA for the past forty-four years. A woman of faith, she was a member of St. Mark's Church in Attleboro Falls, MA. Norma was a loving and proud homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, needlework and cross-stitching, making hooked- rugs, puzzles, and tending to her flower garden. Her greatest joy was being with her beloved family, including her dear dachshund, "Schultz". Her love and warmth will be sorely missed. In addition to her husband, Norma is survived by her cherished family. She was the loving mother of Jeffrey W. Brousseau and his wife, Suzette M. (Messier) Brousseau, of Attleboro, MA; the late Todd Allen Brousseau and his wife, Joanne (Falciono) Brousseau, of Attleboro, MA; Dr. Kevin M. Brousseau and his wife, Cynthia "Cindy" A. (Blank) Brousseau, of Seekonk, MA; and Neil R. Brousseau of North Attleboro, MA. She was the adoring grandmother of Lindsey P. Brousseau, Kyle R. Brousseau, Erin H. Brousseau, Justin M. Brousseau, and Allison P. Brousseau, and great-grandmother of Landen J. Brousseau. Norma was the sister of Meredith (Guillet) Adair and her husband, William Adair, of Seekonk, MA, and the late Susan (Guillet) Cassano. She leaves two nieces, three nephews, and many dear friends.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, ¾ mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, North Attleboro, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Church, 105 Stanley Street, Attleboro Falls, MA.Burial will follow the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 1, 2017 in the Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, Attleboro Falls, MA.Children's room is available during the visitation and funeral service.Those in need of a local ride to the visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such complimentary transportation.
