Nellie M. (Callaghan) Kalo, 75, of South Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully at the home of Deborah Ravinski-Beaumont surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Mihaly "Mike" Kalo, to whom she was married on August 21, 1965, and who passed away on September 19, 2016.Born on April 2, 1943 in County Kerry, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary (O'Sullivan) Callaghan.Raised and educated in Ireland, Nellie worked as a Waitress in a number of area restaurants for many years before her retirement twenty years ago. She was a resident of Attleboro for the past forty years.A woman of great faith, she was a member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Parish in South Attleboro. Nellie was proud of her Irish heritage and loved to return to Ireland whenever possible, making her last trip there in April 2018. She loved animals of every kind; enjoyed taking walks; attending concerts at Slater Park; listening to live music; taking her faithful and beloved companions, Chico and Luke, to the dog park; and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Nellie delighted in the simple things in life: a good cup of coffee; dining out with Deb and Eric; dinner at Spumoni's Restaurant; and enjoying fish and chips on Fridays. Nellie was the mother of the late Susan M. Kalo-Finn, and the mother of Michael Stephen Kalo and his wife, Dawn Kalo. She was the sister of Daniel Callaghan and his wife, Mary Callaghan, of County Kerry, Ireland; and Hilda Neville and her husband, Thomas Neville, of County Kerry, Ireland. She is survived by two generations of nieces and nephews, and many close friends. Nellie also leaves her dearest friend who was like a daughter, Deborah "Debbie" J. Ravinski-Beaumont, and her husband, J.
